In Memoria e Amicizia


Today marks the 24th anniversary of the Heysel tragedy in which 39 football supporters lost their lives.

32 Italians, four Belgians, two Frenchmen and one man from Northern Ireland lost their lives after a wall collapsed in Block Z of the stadium in Brussels before the 1985 European Cup final between Liverpool and Juventus.

On this date every year, Liverpool Football Club and its supporters remember the fallen 39 and pay tribute to their Juve counterparts in both memory and friendship:
